Friends’ list!

I know most people will say that this is an odd day to post something like Friends’ list. So you know Valentine’s day is all about love and since, I love my friends, I dedicate this post to all of ‘em. I didn’t actually think enough to post this, so, please forgive me if your name isn’t mentioned here. Remember, I will never forget you. lol! That’s one step above being over-sentimental.

Let’s start from the youngest of times:

Kindergarten & 1st Std. @ Marya Nivas Matric, Pozhichalur, Chennai(1991 -1993). That’s when I stayed with my grandparents. The age of innocence – I was a con during that time, too.

Dileep, Manohar, Karthik, Manigantan, Lakshmi, Priya, Jagan.

I was actually double-promoted to 3rd std. with some of you guys, if Dileep hadn’t fractured my hands lol! That was rough time. We were playing on a climb and slide @ school or as we call “circus” derived from the Tamil word, “sarkamaram” The adventurer, which I am, tried to make it to the top from the other side. I made it almost to the top and there I was betrayed(remember Lion King sequence?) by Dileep(no man, i’m just joking; you were a good pal). After that I went to live with my parents and also lost my “double promotion”. The only teacher who I remember is Suriya. She was one of the greatest teachers and dancers ever. I really miss teachers like you, ma’am.

2nd Std. – 6th Std. @ Mount Christian Matric.(MCMHSS), Adambakkam, Chennai(1994-2000). The age of innocence and mischief.

Venkatesh & Ashwin(my neighbors), Gideon Zodok Solomon(phew), Reuben, Aslam, Rajesh, Mohan(2nd ranker), Poornima(evergreen 1st ranker), Bhaskar, Sathish(creche), Mahendran, Pradeepnath, Yuvraj & his neighbor “Mongoose”, Dinesh babu, Angel, Harish, Disha(lol, you were my first crush or can I call it, infatuation?), Suchithra(she was like Laila of Ullam Ketkume), Sharmila, Deepa, Kalaivani(I guess she shares my birthday, Dec. 10), Manoj Prabhakar(one of my best friends), Koushik, Nita, Gautham, Nikitha, Vijayalakshmi, Prasath(venky’s friend), Vinod, Arun(remember milo?), Henry Joel, Abuthahir, Samuel, Balaji and the list goes on and on.

I remember most of you guys, how you looked like or at least, an infamous situation that lead me into you. And special “Hi”s to Disha; if you are still out there, please catch up with me Can you remember that “Stic” pen, that the math teacher presented it to me(5th std)?   I really miss you now, you know. To my class teachers:

2nd – Debi, 3rd – Kalyani, 4th – Vijayakumari(better known as “late” miss), 5th – Jeyanthi and a Chemistry teacher, 6th – Initha.

7th std – 11th std@ DAV & SDAV, Adambakkam, Chennai(2000-2005). The age of mischief and happiness.

Nandakumar(the first guy I met at school), Suraj(Soori baba, police mama), Shunmugam(Shindu, Ponam), Shravanth(Panni), Arun(we are bestest friends), Mohan(another bestest friend), Saravanan(Sotta Soya), Swaminathan(Paambu), Ajay(Headlight), Jai Ganesh, Dakshinamurthy(Ganesh, vathu), S. Vivek(Baeku, dabakks), Balamurugan, M Anand, N Anand Subramanian, Bala Subramanian, Dhandayuthapani, Ashwin, Siva Kumar, Praveen(Poochi), Prem Chandar, V. Vivek, Sudarshan, Ram Kumar, Balamurugan II(Murugi, thenga yennai), Naga, Viswanath, Varun,  “Chinna malai” Praveen,  Raj Kiran, Giri(Pedigree), Viswaakshan, Hari Kishun, VS Vignesh, BV, Manoj Chandran, Srinath, Anirudh(Plane), Anirudh Murali(BG stands for broad gauge), Sai Jai Kanth, Sathish, Vigneshwaran, Vijay, Mahendran(Sindhu), Ramaswamy, OP, etc etc…

And, where are the girls? As an adolescent Indian boy, I really was not that much into girls at those times apart from those minor infatuations I had in every class, with one carrying heavy controversies in the class. Anyways, in short words, I didn’t care about girls. Alright, that doesn’t mean I’m gay The simple reason is because I was obsessed with actresses like Trisha. The only gentle ladies I remember talking to are Ranjani & Nivethitha(through orkut), and Kavitha, Nisha, Saranya, & Akshaya.

Now, to the greatest of class teachers, lol:

7th – actually I don’t remember her name , 8th – Devi(Physics), 9th – another Short term memory loss, I guess, 10th – Vijayalakshmi ma’am(Economics), 11th – Latha ma’am(Chemistry and my fav teacher, ROTFL). If something wrong happens in the school/class, I’m the guilt one according to my fan, Mrs. Latha. Other teachers I remember are Kala Balu, Pramila, Shanthi, Rajalakshmi, Bala Nayaki, Kavitha(one of the best teachers) , VP,  Principal Santhamma, the great ‘G’ Rajendran, lol.

You people are so unique and that makes my heart linger over my past and Chennai.
